Questions people ask before they start.
Do my borrowers need an account?+
No. You save their name and email, and ShelfKeeper emails them reminders. They never have to sign up.
Is my library private?+
Yes. Your books, borrowers, and notes are visible only to you and any team members you invite. A public catalogue is off until you turn it on, and even then it shows only available titles, never notes or who has what.
What happens if I go over 50 books on Free?+
Nothing is deleted. You can keep lending everything you have, and upgrade to Pro or Library Host whenever you want to add more.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. Paid plans are monthly, and you can cancel from Settings in a couple of clicks. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for.
Can volunteers help run our library?+
Yes. On Library Host you can invite up to 5 team members by email. They add books and record lends and returns, while billing and settings stay with you.
I already keep a list in a spreadsheet. Can I bring it in?+
Yes. Save it as CSV from Excel or Google Sheets and import it in one go. ShelfKeeper matches your columns and skips books you already have. You can export your books, borrowers, and lending history any time.
Does it work on my phone?+
